1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using simpledrop ("the Service"), operated at simpledrop, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service. We may update these terms from time to time, and continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.

2. Description of Service

simpledrop is a file-sharing platform that allows users to upload files, share them via links, and use AI-powered analysis and chat features. The Service supports over 70 file types and offers tiered storage plans.

3. Accounts & Registration

To create and manage file spaces, you must sign in with a valid account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. Recipients of shared links do not need an account to view files.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Upload illegal, harmful, or infringing content.
• Use the Service to distribute malware, spam, or phishing material.
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to other users' accounts or data.
• Abuse the AI features for generating harmful, misleading, or unlawful content.
• Exceed reasonable usage limits or use automated tools to scrape or overload the Service.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms without notice.

5. Intellectual Property

You retain ownership of all files you upload. By uploading content, you grant SimpleDrop a limited licence to store, process (including AI analysis), and deliver your files as part of the Service. We do not claim ownership of your content and will not use your files for purposes other than providing the Service.

6. AI Features

SimpleDrop uses third-party AI services (Anthropic Claude) to analyse and answer questions about uploaded files. AI-generated responses are provided "as is" and may not always be accurate. You should not rely on AI outputs for critical decisions without independent verification.

7. Storage & File Retention

Each plan includes a storage allowance. Files may be automatically deleted after the configured retention period (if you set one). By default, files never expire. We are not responsible for data loss due to expiry, account termination, or service outages.

8. Payment & Billing

Paid plans are billed monthly. Prices are listed in USD. You may cancel at any time, and your plan will remain active until the end of the current billing period. Refunds are handled per our Refund Policy.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, simpledrop and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, including loss of data, profits, or business opportunities. The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind.

10. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time for violations of these terms. Upon termination, your data may be deleted. You may also delete your account and data at any time from your dashboard.

11. Privacy

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and protect your data.

12. Changes to Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated via the Service or email. Your continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
